Nagoski is one of the foremost composers of "minimal music" though his minimalism is of an unusually emotive and sensual nature. Complex, finely constructed drones here produce altered attention states in the attentive listener, and his work is alive with an anguished and penetrating sensibility which makes it far from static. This is his first disk on Recorded and a rare chance to hear this extremely unusual work.
